Unkl Moe`s BBQ & Catering in Rochester

Unkl Moe's has great food!! He has done several catering orders and barbecue on site events for me over the years. I'd give him a 10!

The staff was so welcoming great spot for comfort food. Not a lot of beef options on their menu.The the oxtails that I had were great I had them on a bed of rice with two sides nice tender well-seasoned. Would I go back yes if they add more beef to their menu being that I don't eat pork there was not much of an option for me to choose from.

Went on my mommie date. I love the food here. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. I'm happy this place exists on the west side of Rochester. Really a great place to dine or takeout

This placed catered a meal at an event I attended. The food was amazing. I would recommend them for catering events based off of the service and great food.

I absolutely LOVE Unkl Moe's food and prices. The staff is always friendly and conversational. The venue is "real" and comfortable. My only issue is a longstanding one... it always takes what feels like an eternity to get your order, even when you get food that's already prepared. Fortunately the food itself is always more than worth the wait!

Somewhat of a long wait. But the food was amazing. Its was worth the wait. Definitely will be my new favorite spot when I come to visit.

Love the home feel. Love the down to earth service. Love the great tasting soul food. So many times a lot of Soul Food Restaurants put too much salt in/on the food, Unkl Moe's does not but still maintains an authentic southern taste and feel. The server that took care of us, who is new was very sweet and attentive.

The menu online isn’t updated. And for people like myself who haven’t been there in a few months, placing an order relying on the menu and it’s prices. When i checked out in the restaurant my bill was $10-12 more than anticipated based on the online menu. Update the information. If you need a marketer to keep up with you things online i know a few! Food is always amazing!!

Great tasting food and super friendly staff. I did notice a little inconsistency in how everyone's fish was cooked.

If you’re in the area they have delicious smothered chops!

I ordered the rib n haddok dinner with mac n cheese and yams with a side of fried okra...my food was sooo good. I say go give them a try best soul food I have had in a while. Thank you for pleasing my taste buds

Fell in love with this community staple. Good food, owners onsite to greet you. Food has been great each time, I've been there. I'm now adding them to my regular rotation of restaurants. The fried haddock , ribs, and smothered pork chops were all excellent.

The food is delicious if you can catch them open or they don't run out of things. I've gone 3 times and I've been happy each time. The chicken wings are, I didn't care much for the ribs but my friend enjoyed them. The YAMS baby, was to die for. The green were good and so was the Mac. It's important to check their website because they have weird hours and menu items are not offered daily and is on a weekday/weekend this is served kind of schedule.The parking is also not that great. There's a parking lot but it's not very big and it doesn't have clearly defined spaces but people make it work. It's a hole in the wall that can be difficult to spot so I would also pay attention while you're driving there if you never been.The people are nice and work hard and I always enjoy that. I just wish service was a lil quicker.

My mom(willa) & i been comin here for over 20 years this was the worst- experience over 30 mins to order something to go - no GREENS ? ORDERED THE SEAFOOD PLATTER shrimp burnt \ wheres my scallops-

I've eaten here before. I've even went as far as getting several co workers to order group orders of food at Hammer Packaging where I work. I went one Saturday 3-23-19, came in a waited to be seated .This went on for about 10min. Nobody ever said anything to me or even acknowledged that I was even there, never greeted me or anything. The staff just kept walking past me as if I wasn't even there. I will never eat here ever again. I will advise all of the people I've told about this place to ever eat here either.

So being a trucker and from the north (ct) best I've had on the road!!! Hands down!!! And since I've been trying not to eat pork or beef, they had turkey bacon and sausage, that was amazing!!! Not really feeling the pancakes but I'm not dropping one star.. Now if the place that loading keeping taking this load to get me a door, I'm coming back for dinner lol thanks again it was the best guys keep up the good work!!

The food here is always amazing.It's also very spacious inside for dine in.If your looking for some great Soul Food, I would most certainly recommend Unkl Moe's👍🏾😁

Update (9/5/18) . I went there 5 times since my first review. I am so disappointed in the service now. Recently my aunt and myself was there for "1" hour and have not received our meals. We walked out. They have new waitresses and they are slow as "hell". I give them 5 stars on the food. Family owned. My favorite waitress is Janelle. She's pleasant and lovable. When Uncle Moe is present he do greet his customer. I used the group dinning ares when my family came to visit, it was nice to have all of us in a private area. When its crowed it can be a little slower. They also provides catering Service too. The have take out and enough parking space. I see all type of race there. This is a community restaurant.

My first time there was a good meal, 2 eggs, 3 French toast, 2 beef sausage reasonably priced for $8. Not bad because I was starving! 👍🏾😎

First time there last night - ordered fried chicken, mac n cheese and sweet potato fries - DELICIOUS - I will be back!!!

Fast, professional,clean place to visit and eat with family. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We planned a party for 20 people and ended up with 40. We were welcomed and fed and accommodated without hesitation. Great food, even better people!

Large menu home style -- multiple award winners, fresh food. Awesome BBQ homestyle sides, okra,collards,mac and cheese.ect. Three kinds of fish fish fry served 7 days a week. Excellent service proprietor on site.

I tried to get some soul food here. There chicken breast that they gave me was right on time the best. The collard greens horrible mac and cheese was just okay. Would only go back to get chicken.
